Mine is set to Auto for both and I still have the same issue. My Mac system is quite old now and isn't supported for OpenCL by CO so maybe that is the problem.

Go down to the OUTPUT NAMING section and to the right hand side of the "OUTPUT NAMING" title is a small inverted triangle. If you click that you will have an option to reset counters.
