    Hi Franz!

This is a user forum and no official C1 support forum.

Without knowing the exact details of the situation  I would suggest that you create a new catalog and import the old one into it. If the folder structure on the new HD corresponds exactly to the previous one on the defective drive, C1 should recognize it and offer it again in the catalog. If the detection does not work - perhaps due to a different folder path - right-click on the folder(s) in the library and select Find and then direct C1 to the correct path.

This is a rough procedure that maybe needs to be more specified

In effect your disk change is nearly the same as moving to another system.

If you cloned the old disk things should be relatively simple.

If you did not clone but re-installed C1 and copied the catalog over there might be a bit more to do and what you need to do might depend on whether you are using a Managed Catalog, a Referenced catalog or a mix of the two.

Just in case you have not seen the technical support articles that are available, here are some links.

This one covers the core user and system data requirements.

This one addresses the needs for the Catalog(s).

Somewhere in there may be some ideas that will help.

For example if you have not copied the Windows User "Appdata" folders there may be some issues for you getting things t work as you had them set up previously.

For the catalog article I think the main concern might be that the system is attempting to open the last used catalog and maybe having problems finding anything due  to different internal links.

Starting C1 and skipping the auto open is the main help in that respect and is described in the article.

See how your work so far compares with the processes described and that should provide some clues about what to try next.
