LoggedHi,
I have updated the latest version of Capture One (14.4), and the Sony FE 2.8 / 90 MACRO G OSS lens does not appear.

Hi,
Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you’ve taken to contribute towards the development of the software.
I have forwarded your request to support this lens profile to the dedicated thread - https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012937417-Lens-profiles-support-please-submit-all-the-requests-suggestions-regarding-lens-profiles-here-?page=11#community_comment_360003937458
Hopefully, your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.
Meanwhile, please feel free to check this article on how to work with unlisted lens profiles.

What is the Profile reported in the Lens tool?

If correct, in Lens tool, profile, the following message appears: Manufacturer Profile
My thanks if you include it in future versions

As a User to User message ...
If you see "Manufacturer Profile" it means the lens/camera manufacturer's own lens profile is being used.
This means that the software correction being applied is that provided specifically by the lens/camera manufacturer.
Now, these corrections have become, in recent times, absolutely necessary in order to reduce the costs of lenses (or make better profits depending on your point of view) by reducing the complexity of design and manufacturing and the cost of some of the more exotic materials required to produce high performing optical lenses. The users benefit from lower costs, better results, smaller lenses and lower weight. Usually.
In theory the corrections could be (and may be?) established for an entire production batch or even on a per lens basis. I do not know if that is actually the case, other than the traditional calibration adjustments in the manufacturing process, but it would be possible.
It occurs to me that if such was the case then the ability to perform an independent assessment of a single lens, create a "better than manufacturer" profile and still be sure that it would be a good profile for all examples of that lens that made it to the user market, might be compromised.
In any event if you think a particular lens, using the Manufacturer Profile, is not providing good quality results as you expect it to, it might be worth contacting the manufacturer to see if they can improve things. In theory they may be able to offer a firmware update for the lens that resolves your concerns.
If you want Capture One to pursue their own profile for this lens one of the staff may pick up this request and copy it to the dedicated lens support requests thread that they created about a year ago.
So make sure your request is added there I would recommend posting to the thread yourself.
