Version 14.01 video problems
I have an I-mac 5 with big Sur OIS, and I have video problems on both Nikon and Fuji raw files, none with TIFF or JPG's. When I switch layers the screen goes red or white and is impossible to work on. I cant see the adjustment what so ever. This is a very buggy software and I am forced to work on version 20.

It maybe worth clearing the imagecache for V21 which you can do in finder, let me know and ill post some instructions

Hi James, yes please do post some instructions as I feel this will be a great help

On a MAC you need to go to the folder
YOURUSERNAME/Library/Application Support/Capture One
In that folder you will find ImageCore, with folders for versions you have used. If you move the files to another temp folder, relaunch C1 and it should rebuild the image core. Try and see if the same problem persists and let me know.

Have you your imac 5K display settings as scaled and set to "more space"?
I had several problems when display setting was set to "more space", problems solved to set display to "default for display"
Not optimal, but at least you may start to work with CO21.
Setting can be found : system preferences -> displays -> display

Hi I took the following steps as you suggested:
1. My monitor was on default as Perttis suggested, no fix.
2. I tried to find the imageCore folder and could not fine it.
3. I did go in finder and cleared the cashe for both C1 20 & 21.
4. I still get the flashing
I am sorry i Upgraded not worth the trouble for such a minor upgrade.

If you have both C1 20 and C1 21 installed, you may need to clear out the old files:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002402377-How-to-uninstall-Capture-One-
I would recommend copying the files to another drive, make sure you have a backup of any catalogues etc
This will clear C1 from your system, download a program called Find Any File and run it, type in captureone into the search field and hold down the Option key and click Find All, enter your password and the program will search your HD for any files with the name captureone in them, delete or move the files you think match.
Reboot
Reinstall and see if the issue exists.
I have had to do this on occasions and it generally fixes things.
Are these new RAW files or older ones?
