Underutilization of available system resources.
Would like to start a discussion / make some noise along with my support requests to get the developers to explain to users why Capture One continues to underutilize the available resources a machine has at its disposal.
For instance, Capture 22 running on a new M1 Max 64GB (High Power mode) uses barely any of the available resources for preview generation and processing. Using measurement tools / apps such as iStat Menus, one can see that the application is barely making the machine break a sweat.
Please chime in if you feel this is something worth C1's response.

Surely worth a discussion but one might need to be careful about pushing for something for a recently introduced computing architecture that, to maximise its potential for all possible applications that might run on it, could require a significant re-think and re-design of the way the functions work.
However, it is nice to see a post observing that there seem to plenty of spare resources rather than posts that ask why processors and memory are "maxed out all the time." ;)

I wonder if this, at least to some extent, would explain why searching a catalogue is still painfully slow on a MacBook Pro M1 Max 64GB.
