    I have check my old Aperture library and Apple use SQLite 3 database. So I think it is really an optimisation of SQL query to do.

    Yes, i confirm.It is very problematic for me because i use Photo Mechanic for keywords assignment so i need full synchro.I have open a ticket to the support.
