Is it possible to NOT rename files when tethering?
Is it possible to tether with Capture One but not rename the files, so the files come in as the original file name? I am shooting partly tethered and partly not, and I just want my files named consistently so I can import them into Lightroom later.

Hi Charlie,
No. You have to add a naming format in Capture One but you can manually set the naming format equal in Capture One to your camera.
See:

You would just have to resume/set counter value in Capture One from where you left off in camera when starting to shoot tethered again.
Setting a Counter value, increment, decrement
Another suggestion is to simply rename all files in the end based on the time they were shot (HH-MM-SS), that should put them in order for you without having to keep track of the image count from camera.
See which tokens you can use in Capture One.0
