My 30 day trial is over so I can't try 1.01… Never mind. I'll stick with EM2 for now.

That's a good report.. thanks for taking the time to do that testing.I too have found MP1 unworkable... with frequent crashing, noticable sluggishness, and the clarity of the UI taking a big step ...

I don't think it is anything to do with running in 32 bit mode - I was already running on a 64bit kernel when it crashed for me. Got it working after moving/renaming the existing Expression Media ...
