The following steps provide a basic guide for connecting your camera to Capture One mobile wirelessly.
We provide detailed instructions for the cameras we have access to, including some Fujifilm, Sony, Canon, and Nikon camera models. For more detailed information, please consult the network and connectivity sections of your camera’s user manual. This will ensure that you have the most accurate and up-to-date information for your specific camera model.

Camera Settings for Wireless Connections
Connecting to the Camera’s Network
Your camera may offer a mode whereby you can connect directly between the camera and your iPhone or iPad by creating a dedicated network. This will be more reliable, but you will not have internet access on your mobile device.
- Turn on the camera.
- Enable direct connection mode on your camera by selecting the correct network setup options (refer to your camera's manual for more information).
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the newly created network, via Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Return to Capture One on your device, the application will automatically connect to the camera within a few seconds. If it doesn’t, restart the app.

Connecting to a Personal Hotspot
- Enable Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad via Settings.
- Turn on the camera.
- Setup your camera to connect to your device’s Personal Hotspot.
- Once your device and camera are on the same network, Capture One will establish a connection within a few seconds

Connecting to a Network

- Ensure that your device is connected to the same access point as your camera by checking your Wi-Fi settings
- Open Capture One – a connection will be automatically established within a few seconds

Connecting to a Personal Hotspot
To connect your camera to your iPhone or iPad’s Personal Hotspot (Wi-Fi), follow the instructions in the Connecting to a Network section below. When you reach the step where you connect the camera to a network, connect it to your iPhone or iPad’s Personal Hotspot (Wi-Fi) instead.
To set up a Personal Hotspot (Wi-Fi) on your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:
- On the iPhone or iPad that you want to use as a hotspot, go to Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot or Settings > Personal Hotspot and make sure it’s turned on.
- Verify the Wi-Fi password and name of the phone/tablet. Stay on this screen until your camera is connected to the Wi-Fi network.

Fujifilm X-T5 / X-S20
- On the camera, go to the Network/USB Settings menu > Network Setting > Access Point Setting:
- If Access Point Setting is greyed out, change Connection Mode to Wireless Tether Shooting Fixed or select Reset Wireless Setting:
- Back in the Access Point Setting* menu, select Manual Setup* > Select From Network List* > select a Wi-Fi network, wait for it to say 'Registration Complete':

- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect;
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.
Fujifilm X-H2S
- On the camera, go to the Network/USB Settings menu > Create/Edit Connection Setting > Create Using Wizard > Tether Shooting > Create New > press OK > Wireless LAN > Create New:
- From the Wireless LAN menu go to > Access Point Setting > Manual Setup* > Select From Network List* > select a Wi-Fi network, enter the password and connect by selecting Set:

- Wait for the Manual Setup process to say 'Registration Complete'* > OK* > NEXT* to save the communication settings name, enter the name > SET* > OK* > Create New Connection Setting Name, enter the name > SET > SELECT.
The little light on the camera will start blinking which means it is trying to connect.

- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;

- On the camera, go to the Network menu > Cnct./PC Remote > PC Remote Function > Wi-Fi Direct Info. > select OK:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the camera network:
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect;
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.

- On the camera, go to the Network menu > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Connect > select On:
- Network menu > Wi-Fi > Access Point Set. > select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password:

the info section at the bottom will say 'Searching for access point', wait for it to say 'Connected via Wi-Fi':
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the camera network.

or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:

- On the camera, go to the Network menu > Smartphone Connect > Smartphone Connect > select Off:
- Network menu > PC Remote Function > PC Remote > select On:
- Network menu > Wi-Fi Settings > Access Point Set. > select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the camera network.
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;

- On the camera, go to the Communication Functions menu > Connect to EOS Utility > Add a device to connect to:
- Select Camera access point mode. If your camera automatically connects to some other network, press the INFO button on camera to switch options:
- Select Easy connection and a window indicating connection progress should appear:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the camera network.
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.

Canon 5D Mark IV
- On the camera, go to the Settings menu > Communication Settings > Built-in Wireless Settings > Wi-Fi/NFC > select Enable:
- Register a camera nickname:
- In the Built-in Wireless Settings menu > Wi-Fi Function > Remote Control (EOS Utility) > Easy Connection:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the camera's Wi-Fi network and launch Capture One.
- On the camera, a window saying "Start pairing devices" should appear, select OK:
- A window saying "PC [PhoneName] found. Connect to the PC" should appear, select OK:
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.

- On the camera, go to the Communication Functions menu > Connect to EOS Utility > Add a device to connect to:
- Select a Wi-Fi network and enter the password. If your camera automatically connects to some other network, press the INFO button on camera to switch network:
- Disable TCP/IPv6:
- A window indicating connection progress should appear. EOS Utility installation or usage is not required.
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi network.
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.
Canon 5D Mark IV
- On the camera, go to the Settings menu > Communication Settings > Built-in Wireless Settings > Wi-Fi/NFC > select Enable:
- Register a camera nickname:

- A window saying "PC [PhoneName] found. Connect to the PC" should appear, select OK:
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:

Nikon Wireless Camera Settings
Connecting to the Camera’s Network
Nikon Z9 / D6
- On the camera, go to the Network menu > Connect to Computer > Connection Type > Camera Control:
- In the Connect to Computer menu, go to Network Settings > Create Profile and establish a Wi-Fi connection through an access point or the camera’s Wi-Fi:
- To create an access point from your camera for direct connection, in the Connection Wizard menu, choose Direct Connection to Computer and connect to the camera’s network from your iPhone or iPad:
*do not open Wireless Transmitter Utility during this process
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:
- Access your camera settings from the ⋯ menu next to your camera name.

- On the camera, go to the Network menu > Connect to Computer > Connection Type > Camera Control:
- In the Connect to Computer menu, go to Network Settings > Create Profile and establish a Wi-Fi connection through an access point or the camera’s Wi-Fi:
- To connect to an existing Wi-Fi access point, in the Connection Wizard menu, choose Search For Wi-Fi Network, select a Wi-Fi network and enter the password; connect your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi network:
*do not open Wireless Transmitter Utility during this process
- In Capture One, go to the Connect tab (iPhone) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model > tap Connect;
or go to the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect:
