As mobile photography continues to grow, we’re thrilled by how many creators are using Capture One on the go. While our iOS app has opened new doors for editing and organizing in the field, we know many of you are wondering: “What about Android?”
We hear you—and want to share an honest update.
At this time, we have no plans to develop Capture One Mobile for Android.
Here’s why:
-
Platform differences matter: Unlike iOS and macOS, where much of our codebase can be shared and reused, developing for Android would mean starting from the ground up. The underlying architecture is different enough that this would effectively be a brand-new product.
-
Focus: Launching and maintaining a high-quality Android app is a major endeavor. At this point, we're focused on continuing to build out the apps and services on the platforms already in our ecosystem.
We’re grateful for your continued passion and support. The Android community is important to us, and while it’s not on our current roadmap, we’re always evaluating the future based on your needs and feedback.
Please keep sharing your voice with us—it helps guide where we go next.
