It might take a few minutes for the iPhone or iPad to identify and connect to a camera. This depends on the USB connection speed, storage media speed, and the number and size of images on the SD card, with the duration increasing with the number of images.
To use the Capture One mobile app, your device must have iOS 15 or a later version installed.
Decide whether a wired or Wi-Fi connection is more important to you. Wired connections are more stable and faster, while Wi-Fi connections offer more flexibility and freedom to move around.
Set your camera to shoot in RAW format for the highest quality and flexibility with your photos.
Turn off power saving modes and USB battery charging in your camera settings (if your camera firmware has this option) to improve signal strength and prevent connection issues.
Make sure you have enough storage space on your iPhone before you start shooting.
Some cameras have the option to save to both their SD card and the iPhone at the same time. Use this feature as an extra backup.
Check your iOS/iPadOS Settings app and make sure:
all necessary permissions are allowed for the Capture One app;
Capture One is enabled under Privacy & Security, Files and Folders.
Wired
Before connecting the camera with a cable, make sure it is turned on. If you accidentally connect it while it is turned off, simply unplug it, turn it on, and then plug it back in
If you’re unable to establish a wired connection, check for a damaged cable, turn off your camera, restart the Capture One app, and reconnect your camera.
If the connection is lost, you’ll receive a sound and vibrate alert. Simply reconnect to continue shooting.
