Restore the Retouch tool tab in Capture One

Issue

The Retouch Tool tab is missing or not displaying correctly (appears blank) in my custom workspace, so I cannot start retouching. What do I do to fix this?

Solution

Step 1: Remove the Retouch Tool tab

1. Right-click the existing Retouch Tool tab.
2. Select Remove tool tab.

Step 2: Add the Retouch Tool tab back

1. Right-click any remaining tool tab.
2. Choose Add tool tab → Retouch.

Step 3: Reset the workspace (if needed)

If the issue persists, reset your workspace to the default layout:

Window → Workspace → Default

Then just repeat the first two steps if the Retouch tool tab still won't load properly and save your workspace via Window → Workspace → Save Workspace.
