How to create, print or save an Apple System Profiler report?
ANSWER
Apple System Profiler (ASP) report in OS X 10.10.x - macOS 11
Click on the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Select About This Mac from the drop-down menu. Then click on the System Report and select File -> Save.

Click on the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Navigate to More Info -> System Report. In the main menu, select File -> Save As... and define the destination for location. Select RTF or Plain Text as the file format.

Make sure a printer is selected in the Chooser (see Selecting a printer below).

Choose the Apple System Profiler from the Apple menu.
- Choose New Report from the File menu.
- In the dialog box, select the items you want in your report and click OK.
- Choose Print One Copy or Save in the File menu.

1. Select Chooser in the Apple menu.
2. For a serial or USB printer, select the type of printer you want to use in Chooser.
Click the port the printer is connected to.
Close the Chooser by clicking the close box.
3. For a network printer, select the type of printer you want to use in Chooser.
Click the name of the printer you want to use.
Close the Chooser by clicking the close box.
Drag and Drop
Most information displayed in the ASP window can be moved to the desktop or to other applications by using drag and drop. This provides a quick way to export specific portions of the ASP information.
- Move the mouse pointer over the information you want to export.
- Drag the information to the desktop or application.
- A text clipping file of this information is created on the desktop. Otherwise, the text will appear in the application.
