Is that quarter of the speed it should compared to older versions? What hardware are you running? Maybe hardware acceleration is not possible. Let us know if you're on Windows or Mac, also.

Yes in comparison to older versions of Capture One 23 and also to 22 etc.  I am on Windows 10. Normally it exports a 50 megapixel, 16-bit TIFF in about 0.7 seconds. Currently 212 source images are taking over 12 minutes. I have a 64 core AMD Threadripper, two 2TB Samsung SSDs and a Nvidia RTX 3090 graphics card. I will try Capture One 22 and see if that's better.

Geoff Thompson @... Let me know if this article helps. Scroll down to "In case there are issues when using Hardware acceleration" and follow the steps there.

Oh my word, how embarrassing. Classic case of "forgot to attach" :D

    Sorry about that.

Thanks Jack. I will try looking for the cache to clear.

It's 5.40pm on Friday afternoon here and I worked part of last weekend. So I will have to read it properly and investigate on Monday morning.

    Thanks again,
    Geoff

Hey, no worries! I'm also off from this afternoon until after Easter. Hopefully somebody else can chime in if you need extra help while I'm away.

Consider also generating a log file package and checking the OpenCL.log – just open it in Notepad or another text editor. Check there for any warning or error messages – you may have to simply run a driver or OS update.

Thanks Jack, have a happy Easter.

The 300 image export from Capture One 22 is taking about four minutes. So that version is definitely working.
    Cheers,
    Geoff

I tried everything and it's still slow. I was using Capture One 22 for a while and then it stopped working. Tethered images were just disappearing into the ether. So I have gone back to 21. Hardware acceleration came up as soon as I opened it. I will see how I go with it this afternoon.

We paid $15,000 AU for the computer last year and Capture One 23 is taking 7 minutes to export 120 images. Normally that export should take less than one minute 30 seconds. That's worse performance than a $5000 computer next door.
