This does happen from time to time, although it's some time since I saw it happen to me. A few questions.

    • Have you tried turning hardware acceleration off?
    • Does the problem go away if you restart Capture One?
    • Are you as full updated as possible with Capture One?
    • What version of MacOS and of Capture One are you on?

Thank Ian for your fast reply. I tried all but nothing worked out. I have this problem since some versions already. Sometimes its working well and most times not. When im zooming in or out i can see the right brush cursor but after zooming it chages back to the arrow.

    Capture One: 16.2.2.10

    MacOs Ventura: 13.4

    Apple M1 Max 16"

I have this problem too, seemed to start with V23 for me, latest updates and MacOS fully updated too. A brush will switch to a pointer when in use making it very difficult to use. I have found if I move it back to the left hand tools and then back again the brush reappears but goes again within seconds.

I know there are other posts about this too and it has been reported to support by several people apparently. Have to say it made editing a wedding shoot a real Pain in the ass.

Super disappointing that no one of the capture one team seems to be interested responding to our problem. I have to fix several masks for my client before export and that is a big pain in the ass. I'm cloning the versions now and merge 2 pictures in photoshop and painting the mask there.

This exact scenario happened for me today, and it's a serious issue for all my projects.
