A quick look back on 2023 – and looking forward to 2024 and beyond
Hello everyone,
As 2023 is coming to an end, I thought it would be nice to share with you some numbers and some thoughts/feelings from the year that just was.
- The help center (user guide, FAQ etc.) has been viewed 3 million times
- There have been 3875 new posts on the forum, with 1.8 million views
- 857 feature requests were submitted, with 23 of them finding their way into Capture One
- 64 cameras were requested, with 15 of them either being logged, worked on, or implemented
A massive shoutout and huge thank you to some of our top contributors:

Whether you’re one of the names on the list above, or you’re someone who simply pops in from time-to-time – we’re delighted to have you and remain committed to making this a helpful and positive environment for all Capture One users.
From a personal standpoint, I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made towards making this a more useful website for everybody.
From implementing public-facing feature requests and camera support requests, providing a “bug tracker” where we can provide updates on major/critical bugs, to gathering feedback on forum functionality – whilst we can look back on this year with pride (particularly the 16.3 release) – but I am also patently aware that there are areas that need improving.
There have been teething problems (and still some of them persist) but I think it’s safe to say Capture One has a dedicated and passionate community that we need to keep close and continue to listen to and work with, if we want to make Capture One the best application it can be.
That’s at least what I think, and I am committed to providing this platform for all of our users and hope to expand it even further in the new year.
Whatever it is you are celebrating at this time of year, have a happy holidays and a fantastic new year. We cannot wait to talk with you more in 2024.
Best wishes,
Jack, Denis, and the rest of the Capture One team.

Thanks Jack W for taking the helm and making all of the positive changes you've introduced. Reorganizing the support site has improved the ability to find help and discuss topics with other users, and bringing on more moderators has helped get spam posts deleted more quickly. Personally I appreciate the team's willingness to take feedback on make updates to articles to improve the quality of the content.
Looking forward to what 2024 brings. Cheers!

My quick look back to 2023
I am very pleased with the improved support site and contribution from mainly Jack and Denis but also other C1 staff e.g. product managers here in the forum, thank you.
Also a big thanks to the non-staff mods who help to keep the forum clean and an almost spam-free place and moderate the forum.
I think the search function needs some improvements, maybe this can be done in 2024.
I am not pleased with the impact of the management decision about perpetual licenses, mainly the short bug fixing period, and not at all pleased with the quality of C1, there are too many regression defects so I did not upgrade from version v22.
All the best for the next year.
