Colour Tag not present when exporting
Hi there,
When I export my images ( to TIFF and JPEG) I tick the box so that it exports with colour tags. I've noticed the colour tags are invisible outside of Capture One. It doesn't show up in the metadata, in preview or in Bridge. Is there any way to view colour tags outside of Capture One?

I can confirm that (Mac Os Ventura). But Color Tags are not part of the IPTC standard (stars are). If Capture One follows that norm strictly its expected behavior. Tagging exported files according to Win/Mac standards would be problematic because they are not cross platform compatible. PhotoMechanic uses color tags which are compatible with C1 when setup correctly. Alas its tags are written to XMP and also don´t show up in Finder.

Tagging a file with an ICC color profile is standard across platforms. It is defined by the file format (JPEG, TIFF, etc).

Yes, of course. Color profiles are cross platform. But I think this thread is about metadata color tagging as its described in https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002743718-Rating-and-tagging

That is a color label and not part of the IPTC metadata. Star ratings and color labels are not transferred to external editors in the "metadata". Only the IPTC metadata is transferred. In addition, Adobe and Capture One don't use exactly the same color labels. Color labels are represented by numbers. The number to color mapping differs a little between Adobe and Capture One (and even macOS).
