Capture One 23 / Catalog Size

Hi there,

Got a question: My Capture One 23 Catalog is now 340GB big. I stored it on my internal hard disk, but gut my picture files on an external hard drive.

No I am running out of disk space (internally on my iMac). I thought, that only the database information is stored in the catalog - is there a way to shrinken it? 

I do only need a copy of the last lets say 5 catalogs, but not back in 2021...

  The catalog previews and thumbnails are also stored in the catalog folder. What version of Capture One are you running?

  Capture One 16.3 (a paid upgrade from 16.2) includes improvements to reduce catalog size and speed up preview generation time. My own catalog size went down about 50% from 250GB to 130GB.
