C1 Pro integration with Lightroom to process Raw files in C1
I own C1 Pro 7, recently purchased.
I tried the create catalog process, both referencing the folders-by-date and trying that, and then by trying the import of a Media Pro catalog. Neither worked well enough to be useful to me.
Both iridient Developer and DxO Pro have recently added the capability, via a LR plugin, to in effect export the RAW file (not a tiff) to them from LR. You choose an Edit In option in LR, then you can process the RAW in either of those two programs and send the processed tiff back to stack in LR. Cool!
Instead of fiddling around, why not have C1 offer this capability? It would offer the best of both worlds. If one person creating Iridient can do it, I'd hope Pahse One could match that (or even improve 😊.

Because C1 has you own Database to manage your Photos.

At least in part, DxO's "Export to Lightroom" plugin exists - by their own implicit admission - as a way to address some image quality shortfalls in Optics Pro that Lightroom can make up for.
Capture One doesn't need Lr's help in the IQ space...0 -
There is a Lr plugin called "Opendirectly" which you can use to export a raw file from Lr into CO, you can then export a TIFF from CO into a LR Watched Folder and you are done. 0 -
