As long as you adopt a referenced catalog with CO (there are other options non available in Lr), you can easily replicate the same workflow you are familiar with.

There is a Lr plugin called "Opendirectly" which you can use to export a raw file from Lr into CO, you can then export a TIFF from CO into a LR Watched Folder and you are done.
