The advice I've received is to wait! In fact, I always do with new software - I 'd much rather others figure it out first!

I just upgraded C1 Pro to 8.3.3, but don't see any reference to it here.

Of course, my question is should it work with OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

    Thanks

The current version of Capture One, 8.3.3, does not officially support El Capitain, this has been repeatedly stated by CO Crew members in this Forum: the obvious suggestion is to wait for the next release.
This does not mean that CO 8.3.3 cannot be operated under OSX 10.11, I have a MBP, which I use as a test machine, running smoothly with El Capitain and CO 8.3.3, but this may not be applicable to different HW configurations.
My personal suggestion is not to upgrade to El Capitain, for the time being.

Yes, thank you, appreciate your answer!

I guess I am getting confused about when it's ok to install an upgrade. I now seem to remember that I had advice to hold off on the 8.3.3 upgrade--

Where does one find definitive answers besides a query here?

    Thank you again!

The current version number of CO is shown at the top right of the CO download page:
    https://www.phaseone.com/en/Downloads/M ... One-8.aspx

The 'System Requirements' section of the release notes (available from the download page) lists the OS versions:
    ...
    Mac OS X 10.9.5 or 10.10•
    ...

I know it says 'Minimum System Requirements', but I wouldn't advise using a combination of CO and OS version that is not listed here.

Nevertheless, I did. My old MBP (mid 2009) is running 10.11 now. But it never supported openCL for CO, and it's just my old one. It's running without problems without openCL, as far as I can tell.

    Regards,
    Hans
