    Hello all -
I just opened a ticket with support for this very issue, then came across this post.
If anyone has any new information or fix I would love to hear it.
    I am using C1 20 on Windows and ON1 2019.

Basically, I choose "Edit with" in C1, select my settings (have tried tif and psd), the tif is created and ON1 opens. ON1 opens to the folder the tif is in but doesn't automatically select the tif for editing. If I go find the tif file in the folder and make some edits, they are not retained when I return to C1.

I also use Color Efex Pro 4 and that works without issue.

I suspect that not opening the actual file is ON1 is a problem with ON1 (I have met it too) rather than with Capture One, since with other apps (Affinity Photo for instance) it manages to open the actual file. Maybe because ON1 has a library function and Affinity doesn't?

Based on the behavior of C1 I suspect the issue is on On1's side as well. The file is created and passed to On1, so that sounds logical. I do plan to open a support ticket with them to cover all bases.

    Thank you

I used the same workflow as OP for a few months last year and had the same problem with the exported tif not opening. The problem is definitely with ON1.

As a workaround - once C1 creates the tif and sends it to ON1 are you not able to drag and drop the tif's icon from C1 to ON1? I can't test this for you because I have removed ON1 from my system, but I seem to recall doing this.

Well, as a workaround, using Edit in... and specifying ON1 at least opens ON1, and then you can navigate to the file and one it.

NNN636442823308421079 and Ian - Thanks for the suggestions, but the issue isn't getting ON1 to see the tif, or even the ability to work on the tif with ON1. The issue is the full round-trip. I guess I could use ON1 as the final stop in the workflow, but that isn't really what I am looking to do.

To update since my last post, ON1 responded to my ticket by simply saying they do not support round-tripping with C1. Period. No suggestions, no explanation, nothing.
Honestly it is lazy, we don't really care responses like this from ON1 support that drove me to C1. I guess I should be thanking them. I am extremely happy to be using C1.

I opened a ticket with C1 on Jan 2 and have yet to get a response.

Nonetheless, even if ON1 doesn’t actually support round-tripping, you should be able to do what you want in ON1, then import the resulting file into C1.
