Color replacement
ImplementedHi,
Glad there is this new feature requests subforum. Hope to contribute here.
Please add a (direct) color replacement function.
Capture One is probably the most powerful raw development tool with respect to color --we now have the color wheel tool (with basic editor, advanced editor, and skin tabs), the color grading tool, plus levels and curves with RGB options.
But we lack an option for picking a particular color and then freely replacing it with another one. Phase One is aware of this necessity, because they explain (in webinars, in their blog) how to do it with current tools: the so-called "hack" consists of moving once and again the same color around the wheel in the advanced editor. Well, to me it's just a hack, and I find it impractical and clumsy. The color wheel is meant for subtle color changes. Plus, there is no way to select white and black, as far as I know.
Current options are fine, and I don't want them to disappear. Just consider adding this new function!
Thanks,
Manara

Hi Manara,
Thank you so much for reaching and for your feature request. I will forward this to our developers.

Have you tried the new version of the “simplified “ tool click on a colour and move your mouse in the appropriate direction. Note I have not tried this yet myself for big colour change so it might end up just as convoluted a procedure as using the advanced colour editor.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your input: yep, in the simplified basic tool there are the very same +/- 30 degrees. Not a solution.

I second Manara’s request. I’m new to C1 and just spent over an hour trying to figure out how to swap white in an image with something else. Just found this site to learn it can’t be done. Rats.
