    Exactly the same problem.
memory usage jumps to > 5 GB (10 GB max. available), queue hangs almost completely, although estimated time is more-or-less updated.
    Impossible to use the software.
All images converted to .eip, so not even possible to use alternate app.
I will delete all .cop files from the cache, that will solve the issue temporarily, but it comes back after the next restart, when the cache is re-created.

We also had big problems with the introduction of Media Pro (as in damaging files, thank you), what are they doing there ?

b.t.w., I created a support case, hope that helps.

When you unpack the .eip files, does that improve the situation?

The software behaves so bad that at the moment it freezes before I can unpack. I will try, because I am getting desperate here. Answers from support are useless, "send log files", any idea how many log files my mac generates ?

I think I found the solution:
I managed to access the preferences for a while, and unchecking "Prefer Embedded XMP over Embedded IPTC" solved the issue. Mind you, I use MediaPro to create metadata outside C1, so maybe an issue there for PhaseOne to look at.

    To happy to soon.
Nothing solved. When looking for a solution, before I reset all preferences to default (which led to my previous conclusion), I also deleted all proxy files.
Apparently, that caused the temporary relief.
Now that proxy files are building again, the problem returns and gets worse every time more proxy files are created.
I will delete them once again, reset all my .eip files to raw, and quit using C1. Pity.
PhaseOne software (to me) seems to exell in features, but leaves a lot to be desired in stability.

Had this awhile back and my problem related to a corrupt file/session.

While shooting tethered I had a corrupt file, pure white with jagged color lines, and during a lengthy support case that event was pinpointed as the origin of my issue. To temporarily solve the issue I did the following.

I processed the files from that session in ACR to finish the job.

Emptied the cache in C1 and stop/started the processing queue.

I was then able to process from new and old session that were not corrupted.

    Good luck

WELL found a work around. At suggestion of Phase One, I created a new admin account on my Lion OS X system and installed C1 there. It works.
Kludgey for now. But at least C1 is working in this 'spare' account.

    Hope this helps,
    Eric

Finished full clean install.. whew.. took some doing.
Installed Lion from a flash drive, restored my user account via time machine and did clean install of C1
    *presto* it works!
seems that the installation of Lion over Snow Leopard can corrupt your account in some way.
