If it's only about CO, just get the older version (from PO's archive) and install. You should be able to have both 8.2.x and 8.3 on your system, but I have not tested that for 8.x.
For catalogs, you may need to revert to an earlier version from backup. I don't know about any method to downgrade an upgraded catalog.

Did you try to check/repair your catalog ?
PS: Do a backup before.

Has anyone tried to downgrade 8.3 to 8.2.2? if so, any problems?
I'm about to try the same myself, as I don't want to damage or risk damaging up my color tagging and rating system by continuing to use 8.3.0 -
yes I did, without any problems. I had problems with Liveview and 45+. I took an older dmg and started a normal installation. Now I still work with 8.2 on my system again.

All old builds are kept in the archive (off the downloads page). Just download and install the version you want.
