Catalogs

I am nervous about using catalogs on the new capture one Two places whom i have respect for have told me that they have not been tested and are not stable. Stick to sessions and brake them up. I have a shoot of about 800 images in about twenty folders now ready to use sessions. I am looking for discission about Catalogs or sessions. Should I stay with sessions or not?

    I am using catalogs (referenced) since the launch os CO7, and I never experienced stability issues.

    I am not using the DAM functions of CO7. But, of course it has been tested, not necessarily with a setup similar to yours though.

    Sizing of your system is very important in these matters and that's easily forgotten (by many out there). Even though i agree a system shouldn't be crashing when it slows down.

    But, try the catalogue function for yourself, you can still use (perhaps on a different system) use the sessions. That is, after all, what you're familiar with.

    Been using catalogues with far more than your amount of images. Multiple catalogs as well seems to be ok. There are other bugs that annoy me but catalogue seems to be ok in my experience
