Are you using Capture One DB, that is for data back only, not Express or Pro? If not, check your image editing JPEG setting in the preferences.
You also might want to update to a more recent version of CO6, just in case.

Did it work in the past? To be honest, I can not recall I imported JPEGs. You can move them with Finder, of course, as workaround.

    Hey Paul,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I have the pro version 6.2.2 and I also tried dragging them into a folder but still with the same results. I have both the "enable jpeg and tiff editing" checked.

As for upgrading to the newest version, nope not yet. I had too many problems with my previous 5D whn I bought a new iMac for location work. Basically, bout a new 5D MkII

Hi Richard, it seems - based on your description - that CO6 is not recognizing your JPEG images from your Canon p&s camera, both when importing and when copied upfront and opened in CO6. As you have a 5D and/or 5D mkII, could you perhaps shoot a few JPEGs with that camera and see how CO6 handles them?

If that works out OK, there is something with the P&S camera files CO6 does not like. If it does not work either, something with your CO6 in general is not OK.

Not sure what issues you had with a later than 6.2.2 version of CO6, but there have been numerous updates since so please excuse me for encouraging you again to update (I suggest 6.4.2 if you tether Canon). Note that you can always revert to 6.2.2 in case of. I like to prevent us working on an issue that perhaps no longer exist in a later version.

    Hi Paul,

Just got in from a long day and will not be able to test it out. I'll lbe shooting on location all week so hopefully at some point this week or the week end I will try out your suggestions when I can.

Thanks for your help and I will be in touch once I can establish this dilema.

    Cheers,

    Richard
