Importing Sessions into Catalog
Hi all,
I am new to Catalogs - I've never used them and have always been using Sessions. I decided to create a catalog to work with multiple years of projects. I'm in 11.0.1. I've set up the Catalog then go to Import Session. Selected the session file on the drive. The session structure imports under User Collections but I have no images anywhere. Doesn't matter which directory I select. Filters are turned off. I don't think the images are being imported. I'm sure I am doing something very basic wrong. If I look at the info for the Capture directory is shows 0 KB. If I open the session everything is still displaying just fine. Thanks for the help!

Rather than using import session open the normal import dialog, navigate to where the originals are on your machine make sure apply existing adjustments is ticked and assuming you don't want to move the pictures add them to the catalogue. Your existing adjustments in the session will all be preserved in the catalogue. 0 -
Thanks, I thought that might be the case. Will various tagging (ratings, colors etc) also be carried over? And if I make an adjustment in the catalog to an image will it be carried over to the session? Thanks! 0 -

I think it is intentional that the session and a catalogue retain completely separate identities.
I would certainly hope so.
