Help! CO v6 not working well at all?
I installed CO 6 Pro and as soon as I started it I had a system crash and had to switch the power off and back on again.
After the restart of my iMac i7 CO 6 starts up without an error and I can start processing files, for a test I added 4x 1D, 4x 5D MK II and 4x 7D RAW files.
The 1D files posses very fast (only 4MB) the 5D mark II files are also processed quite fast although screen refreshes did not look right (lines through them)
But by the time I get to the 7D files things are already starting to go wrong, the processing circle(little sun) is continuously spinning and any adjustments I make are not applied, also the files no longer look sharp but are blurred like CO 6 can no longer apply my sharpening settings.
shortly after this I get the coloured processing circle of death and a CO 6 Dump window appears, which I mail to Phase One (four times so far), then I have to force CO 6 to close, this happens every time I try to use CO 6?
I have used C1 since version 1 and have never had this sort of problem before? any help greatly appreciated!

Try setting OpenCL to "never" in the General tab in the preferences and restart Capture One. 0 -

Thanks! I'm at work now but I will try it later, I certainly hope it's something as simple as that!

Thanks, that fixed the problem, no hangs or crashes anymore 😄
But is there a reason CO 6 does not support my Graphics card?
It is an ATI Radion HD 5670 with 512mb of gddr3 ram.

Dave, I'm surprised as well. My 2010 MBP 17" running its dedicated graphics processor (NVidia GeForce GT 330M) doesn't function well either with OpenCL set to 'auto'. Had to turn it off to avoid screen corruption after working on more than 20 or 30 5DII images. Funny thing is before a certain point everything works fine. 0 -
Hi Emile,
20 or 30 files! that's a lot further than I could get 😲
I read in another post that they don't support 512MB cards only some 1024MB ones? but they hope to provide better support in the future, I hope that's true.

Correct. see http://www.phaseone.com/en/search/artic ... nguageid=10 -
Hmmm... My graphics card (NVidia 330M) is on that list but I still get screen corruption after a while. It's just temporarily, where the viewer window gets garbled after each adjustment and then restores itself to the correct state, and only after having processed some 20 images, but it doesn't really help feeling comfortable. Hence I disabled OpenCL which got rid of it, without any notable speed difference. 0 -
