Difficulty launching Capture One Pro 7. Os X 10.9.2
I am working in OS X 10.9.2 on a 27" 2.66ghz i5 iMac with 16GB RAM and plenty of space for image storage ( external drives and also on the SSD I use for the OS and Applications.
I have not used Capture One since 2011 (C1 Pro 6) and updated today to C1 Pro 7. I cannot get launch the program now as I get the three following error messages
-"Unable to find databaseThe application was unable to find the database for the catalog."
-"Open A file named /Users/~~~~~~/Pictures/Capture One Catalog.cocatalog already exists but cannot be read. The file will be renamed to "Users/~~~~~~~~/Pictures/Capture one Catalog/Previous Capture One.cocatalog" and a new session created in its place."
-"Open Could not move aside previous session document. Exiting."
And after going through each of these and clicking o nthe okay button, the program shuts down.
Can anyone help? Thank you.

Looks like a permission problem. Two tips:
- run permission repair from Disk Utility
- install the latest version of CO Pro 7
When done try again. If problem persists, start CO7 while keeping Alt-key pressed. This will start CO7 but prevent opening a session or catalog. You can now either create a new session or catalog (as a dummy, just for testing) and verify your existing catalog (File menu).

Thanks Paul,
I am starting with the latest version (the update was downloaded and installed yesterday) , will check my permissions shortly.
Thank you.0 -
I suspect that what will solve the issue is a completely fresh installation rather than an update. 0 -
Paul I've now checked and repaired my disk permissions but nothing seemed directly connected to C1.
My next step is to uninstall Capture 1, reinstall, and tell it I am a new user.0
