In Capture One Pro 10.x when I attach the Cannon 5DMk3 via USB to down load files from a shoot, the camera is not recognized. The same was true in Capture One 9.x.

I have to download using Canon software to a folder, import the images from there and then delete the folder I downloaded to. Lightroom recognizes the camera and downloaded from the camera directly.

Will Capture One Pro recognise the Cannon eventually?

Canon lenses, I have a Canon EF 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, it is not listed in the lens correction drop down. When will this be supported?

Capture One is not designed to import files directly from the camera as the manufacturer's dedicated utility program can. On the other hand if you use the full tether option all images are directly downloaded to the connected computer.

You can either do as you are doing (although I would keep the download folder as a backup somewhere rather than delete it) or take the card out and download directly from a card reader which may well be faster if you have a number of images to download.

As for the lens ... the way to request support for a lens that is not currently supported is to create a Support Case. Phase will then add your request to the list of requests and will most likely prioritise which ones are actioned based on the number of requests.

However the lens you mention is not one I recall hearing much about so I did some quick research. I assume it is the one that is now quite an old design and when speed reading on online report by a lens testing web site I concluded that it was probably challenging enough that it might not be a very popular lens at all.

I cannot speak for Phase but if it is not a current lens and the typical performance concerns are as reported in what I read I can fully understand why you might need help with it but fear that the level of interest from the user collective might be rather low. On that basis, if a correct assessment, I doubt it would make the top of the list in a short time scale.

However you can ask by using the method suggested and I may be entirely wrong.

    HTH.
