10.8.3 is still in Beta. As such, there is no opportunity for any released software from any manufacture to properly account for and support it.
If Capture One (or any software) is crucial for your day to day operation it is NEVER recommended that you install a BETA Operating System.
Further, even when an official OS update is released by the manufacture, if Capture One is an absolute necessity for your daily operation, we always recommend you wait until a software release is available that specifically states it supports that OS.0 -
i know it, but i am sure Phase One all ready work to adapt C1 to the latest OS. So it is just a Bug report nothing else 😊

10.8.3 was released two days ago, and it seems to work well on my iMac.
Question though – is OpenCL support somewhat iffy with this release? It apparently works in the viewport; zooming, scrolling etc. is much faster with OpenCL set to “Auto†than “Neverâ€.
But when processing files, it seemed more sluggish than before. So I stopped it; and no matter whether I set OpenCL Processing to “Auto†or “Neverâ€, it takes about as long (plus/minus 2-3 seconds with 20+ images).

10.8.3 was made public 3 days ago.
Capture One has yet to release a software specifically built for or tested in this OS. It is simply not intentionally supported at this time so I cannot comment on performance.0 -
No worries Drew, this was more aimed at others here who have already updated an OSX installation or two. 😊
For what it’s worth, according to the release notes there weren’t any changes to any graphics drivers with this point release of OSX. Apple did fix security issues in the IOKit and some graphics-related libraries, though, hence my question to other users.
Be it as it may – if your CaptureOne Mac isn’t hooked up to the internet a lot, I’d hold back on the update for now. Some of the fixed security flaws are massive, but if you’re not online (much, or at all) with your CaptureOne machine, you can live without these fixes, and OSX 10.8.3, for now.0 -
For what it’s worth – my initial findings were flawed. I took too small a sample to compare OpenCL “Auto†and “Never†for processing.
Taking a sample of 100 files (18 MP DNG), I see a 10% speed-up in processing with OpenCL set to “Autoâ€. That’s not a hell of a lot, granted, but then my VGA is ancient by today’s standards: Radeon HD 6770, mobile version. The thing was sluggish already 1.5 years ago when iMacs shipped with it, compared to proper desktop solutions.
So, mea culpa. I rated “feeling†higher than a proper test. And I was wrong. 😊

With 10.8.2 I had to disable Open CL on one of may machine (MBP Retina), with 10.8.3 I have Open CL enabled again with no issues at all. 0 -
Is 7.1.1 the release that officially supports 10.8.3? It's not entirely clear from the release notes.
Nothing about 10.8.3 is mentioned in the highlights, but it is listed as a minimum system requirement along with 10.7.5. Does this mean that it has been thoroughly tested and approved by phase one, and 7.1.1 will be more stable on 10.8.3 than 10.8.2. What about 10.7.5 vs.10.7.4.
I avoided many headaches by staying on 10.7.4 and now that canon/apple/phase have finally sorted that out, I'm ready to upgrade all my machines to 10.8.3. Unless anyone can provide a compelling reason not to upgrade?
Thanks,

The fact that OS X 10.8.3 is (among other OS Xs) mentioned, means it is supported for that version. I know that CO 7.1.1 is tested against 10.8.3.
I have no reason for you as 10.7.4 user to hold you from either 10.7.5 or 10.8.3. With the latest release of OS X this OS becomes more and more mature.
There is another thread about preferred OS X version here in the forum, but it mainly focusses on 10.6.8 on one hand and later on the other. But you are already using 10.7.4.0
