1D M III with LE and Vista?
Anyone getting good results with LE and the 1D M III? All my images are at least one stop underexposed ... same thing with the latest Beta software ... driving me nuts. Images are fine with BreezeBrowser and CSRAW but I like the Capture One interface so much better ...
I see some people are doing OK with Pro and the M III but I can't get decent results with LE. Using the generic M III profile. 1Ds and 1D M II files are fine. Anyone else with this problem?
TIA

To add to my own post here's a link to an example showing the exposure problem ... this was for 4.0b2 but I see the same with 3.7.7 ... I put this up to show the C1 guys the problem when I filled out a bug report but the reply I got was 'we do not yet support the 1D Mark III' ...
The test image (just a handheld shot checking out IS on a new lens) was processed in C1, CSRAW and BreezeBrowser and I've shown the histograms from each plus marked out a small area in the background that reads ~ 200/200/200 RGB with BB and CSRAW but only 145/147/151 with C1 ... http://www.hiltonphotography.net/c1_v4_beta2_exposure/0 -
Just to update this in case other 1D Mark III users have this problem, apparently the problem occurs if you set Custom Function II-3 (Highlight Tone Priority) since COne doesn't recognize this CF and the conversions are underexposed. Disabling this CF is the work-around. I've filled out a Support Case and hopefully this will be fixed in future versions (it doesn't work in the V4 release either).

I am on the fence about buying 1D Mk3 vs. D3 and the fact that C1 3.7 LE (almost) works with 1D Mk3 clinches the deal. I can't stand using C4 and have been holding back.
If C1 3.7 LE. does not support 1D Mk3, I would have gone with D3. I can live with Nikon NX (god forbids) but not C4 (until h... freezes over).0 -
lpcd2001, C1 3.7.7 works with the 1D M III except for these two things: 1) the High Tone Priority custom function is not recognized, and 2) there's a small strip of garbage pixels left at the bottom of each conversion so you have to crop that out of every single image.
Otherwise the conversions look good to me.
