Zeiss Lenses for which platform? 😉

We are excited to continue growing our Lens Support. The only compromise we have made with ourselves is that to support a lens in Capture One, we need to have the lens in Phase One for first hand review. That being the case, if we can get Zeiss to loan us the lenses, we will be able to build support for them in the future.

for Canon pls though no doubt nikon users would want the same support - apparently same glass so you might be able to cover both platforms at once 😊

    Hello

I have some lenses to my Nikon cameras - D4 and D800. And I wonder where I can find the list of lenses that have the Capture PRO correction.
    The lenses are
    - 50mm - 1.4
    - 105 mm [macro] - 2.8
    - 200 mm [macro] 4.0
    - 70-200 2.8 VRII
    - FX 28-300
    - 16 mm fisheye
    - 85mm 1.4 D
    - 17-35 FX 2.8
    - 24-70 2.8
    - Sigma 50-500 OS

    Thanks in advance

These are listed in the release notes. If the lens is not listed then please reference the comments above regarding future support.

    Hi:

Older Mamiya AF lenses are not on the list: I.E. 55-110mm, 105-210mm, 200mm, 300mm.
Will they all be supported in the future, as they are still widely used?
I´ll bet you have them in house.. 😉

    Saludos

Sorry do disappoint but they aren't on our shelf 😕
If we can get them we'll support them. Please log a Feature Request through the support system so we can put it on our "To Do" list.

    Thank you for the long-awaited C1 v7
It seems, one of my zooms for my D90, AF S Nikkor 10-24mm 3.5-4.5G ED
is not supported yet. When do you think this zoom might be added?

I am just surprised that the Canon EF 35/f1.4L is missing from the lens list, that one should be in there, it has some slight barrel distortions.

And I also hope Zeiss lenses for Canon mount are supported soon, especially the Zeiss Distagon T* 21/f2.8 ZE. In a older C1 v6 thread I hoped for some help with the distortion ("mustache wave") and it was not possible, I hope with C1 v7, this can be fixed now, so I have no reason to go to Lightroom 4 for only this lens 😊

It will be included, probably sooner than later (but no ETA, you know the drill 😉 )

Not sure if I've been missing something all along, but I have never managed to find a lens profile for the PHASE ONE 120 mm Digital MF f/4 Macro and, according to the lens list, there still isn't one. Does anyone know a valid reason for this?

    Thanks.

This is the official answer from PhaseOne Support:

    Sehr geehrter Herr xxx,

    Phase One Technical Support

    Translates to something like this:

    Dear Mr. xxx,

thank you for your message. There are no profiles for Carl Zeiss 35mm objectives.
But you can make your own profiles and save them as a preset.

    With kind regards
    Phase One Technical Support

Phase One has included new lens profiles with the last releases so I think there is a fair amount of chance that they will continue. The most important thing is to tell them what lenses you would like to have included by submitting a support case. As long as there is no built-in profile you could create your own profiles as a workaround.

It will be included in the next release of Capture One 7.

We will of course continue to implement new lenses for each release.

Also please make sure You have the "Send Diagnostics and Usage information to Phase One" setting ticked on (in Preferences -> General). This way we can anonymously track lenses used for processing and prioritize which lenses are being used the most.

Is there anything we can do to help you with? Or do you have a list of lenses which you are currently working on? I know that Phase One is usually not talking about upcoming releases or features, however it would be greatly helpful to know on what lenses you are currently working or what lens you still need in Denmark to create a profile for.

I am still hoping to get profiles for my Zeiss Distagon ZE 35 f/2 and Canon EF 100 Makro 2.8 USM (non L IS). Of course, I have already created a support case back in October 2012 and am actually working with my own profiles (which are not on the same level as the built-ins).

Enabling the usage diagnostics is great help for us, as mentioned in the previous post.

Also, if you can provide us with a specific lens(es) for ~2 weeks at the HQ in Copenhagen, DK, please write Support, and let's see what we can do.
