.Net framework 4.7 + 10.1.2
I've updated .Net framework with Windows Update, and C1 stopped to load. Frame appears, but toolbars, tools on the left side, and image browser doesn't appear. Windows says it doesn't respond, wait or close process, but after waiting about 10 minutes I choose process close.
After 4.7 uninstalled, and 4.6.1 reinstalled and updated, C1 started to work again.
I've sent an other 10.1.2 bug with bug reporter, so I think it's time for a bugfixing version...

If you want to make that request - perhaps a bit premature given that C1 has quite frequent updates and it's not phone app software, then you need to go to the trouble of creating a Support Case. From what you wrote about "bug reporter" I'm not sure whether you did that.

I had this problem. Not only would v10.1.2 not open, but v9.3 stopped working as well. I believe this is exclusively a win 7 (in my case win7 pro) issue. I uninstalled net framework 4.7 & reinstalled 4.6.2. Both ver 9 & 10 Capture One worked again. Have now uninstalled v9 as I am very happy with v10. I hope this problem is fixed for win 7 so that one can allow updates for net framework. No problem for me for now as I manually control all win updates (one reason to avoid win 10), but for security I would naturally wish for latest versions of the net framework system. 0 -

I'm using Win 7 Pro.
I have installed C1 V10 as new releases have become available. No problems that I can recall during the installations and certainly no problems running the application after install.
I still have V10 installed but not currently activated. Using V9 I have no problems starting the application.
To me this suggests there may be a local configuration problem (possibly temporary?) for those machines having problems.
If so there is no point in mentioning "bug fixes" without engaging with the Support team through a support case to give them a chance to discover what specifically about the configuration is struggling.
If it does turn out to be a .NET update issue it may be necessary to work with Microsoft to resolve whatever it is in .NET that seems to produce a conflict.

They could try but mainstream support of Windows 7 ceased two and a half years ago - it's security fixes only now. 0 -

.NET development needs to be compatible with older versions of the Windows operating systems and vice versa.
Windows 7 updates are still supplied for MS development tools.
MW maybe don't bother to test them quite as thoroughly though ...?
