no Leica M lens profiles support with C1 Version 12?
Thanks to Phase One for releasing lens profiles for the most common Leica M lenses. π π π
But how can I adapt these profile to all my images in an easy way? Copy/paste from the lens correction tool seems not to work correctly.
My Canon lenses were automatically recognized. No additional action necessary...

Are the lenses recognised when you edit new files?
If not that suggests a problem to be investigated.
Assuming lens identification is OK then going back to previously processed images individually may be required. The adjustments for most lenses can be quite complex taking into account aperture and other settings for example. This is especially true with zoom lenses and wide angle lenses.
I could imagine that Copy and Paste lens settings might not be an option for a mass update. However I may be wrong.
Perhaps someone with more intimate knowledge of this subject will drop in to this thread soon.

Hi,
I have only Leica lenses. When I need a lens correction, I go the the tool, and chose, among all the lenses of the same focal length, the one I used. The lens is not automatically recognised in the tool (it is however in the EXIF), only the focal length is. I don't know if this a bug, but anyway, I have never used the tool as my Leica lenses don't need any correction π Actually, I have "only" a 35 mm ASPH, and two APO-ASPH (50 and 90 mm), but I can understand that for shorter focal lengths it could be necessary.0 -

Maybe some screenshots help to explain. The hole thing isn't a big issue, but it's bothering. And yes, correction even with Leica lenses is sometimes needed with my wide angle lenses and architecture (18, 21, 24 and 35 Lux ASPH.)

The problem is that the Leica M mount can only recognize the lens by the 5 analog binary patches on the lens(-mount). This is interpreted by the camera body and stored in the text-string you see in Exif. However, CO does not recognize lenses this way, as it way too prone to errors.
The Lecia M-mount also doesn't provide aperture info, so there's no way to automatically apply a lens-profile anyhow.0 -

The exif is created by the software in the camera, which interprets a 6-bit code (!), which is part of the mount of the current lenses. The aperture is provided, too.

It could be because Capture One looks in the metadata and sees "Elmar-M 1:3.8/24 ASPH" and can't find it in the database because there it is described as "Leica Elmar-M 24mm f/3.8 ASPH".
This is definitely a problem to be raised with Phase via a support case.0 -

This is our practical experience so far. It is much more rigid to identify via lens-id's, which we do for all lenses in the profile-database.
You are more than welcome to file a feature-request for a rework. The more requests we get for this, the higher impact the request will have.0 -

As mentioned, Capture One does not identify lenses upon the string in Exif, but a deeper lens-id.
A string containing the lens name is simply not robust enough for auto-detection.0 -

OK Γ’β¬β I see this point. But one pushes the problem to the other. Why not use the core information of the string as well as Leica itself uses this e.g. for camera internal correction of vignetting.0
