10.6.8 to Maverick OS

I hope not to be archaic in this question, but I am finally ready to update to Maverick and to the latest Capture One 7.1.5. I am currently using a Canon 5D II. Basically, are the tethering issues resolved with Canon, and are there any recommendations anyone can pass along before I make the jump...

  I am running a new Mac book pro with Mavericks and have not had a problem with 7.1.5 - it was actually a pretty smooth ride.This was with a 5d mk3 - the 'Canon bug' had gone and I was able to unplug the camera as much as I like and then quickly re establish connection. However, that said, it is a new system designed to support Mavericks and everything works well because it's new. I would obviously recommend a clean install of Maverick, if not a new hard drive. I have encountered catastrophic failure in 7.1.6 with open CL display setting switch on. CVM compiler crashing all the time, have submitted support cases to both apple and phase one but haven't heard anything yet.
