    Hi cbphoto,

Excellent response on Phase One's part. My dealer is still on the case although I still have 27 days left on the trial version so I'm not worried yet.

I think the software team have overlooked the changing computer thing. How did they resole your issue? Did you get a new licence code?

    Damien.

They simply extended my license to allow installation on 3 computers, not just two. I am able to use the same serial numbers and registering on-line has been painless and error free since v1.2.1

This is indeed what we do, if you replace a computer, ofcourse you should be able install it on this.
But it is a personal licens and it is not one licens for a company of 65 users, I think you know what I am getting at.
Network aware limiting has several flaws, unplugg network cable and you can get around it, it broadcast on network which makes network administrators go bananas.

In your case a short line to Phase One support at http://support.phaseone.com will sort this in no time.

I would like to point out that this licensing method suites me very well. As a typical small studio with one assistant and a part-time office assistant, I've 6 computers in the studio, 4 of which are for production. Of these, 3 have C1DSLR installed: a laptop for location work, a G5 in the studio for tethered shooting and occasional file processing, and a G5 in our \"post\" room which processes most files, but never works tethered.

At first I was apprehensive about what the Phase One license would allow (after all, I need a separate license for Photoshop on each computer), especially after I purchased the \"5 upgrades\" deal for $200 and my license number was changed by Phase One when all the version numbers became the same.

Well, everything went very smoothly. I entered the new license number on each computer with Capture One and it quickly activated the license over the web. Then, for each upgrade since, I've simply downloaded and installed the new version, click the \"activate\" command and presto, I was up and running.

Again, with this last upgrade, the only glitch was that the license allowed C1DSLR on only two computers. A quick post at the official Phase One support site and my problem was corrected within a half-hour.

As a note to Phase One, I hope that your support continues like this, and that your participation on this forum is more active than on the old U.S. forum. Many users and potential users watch for this kind of involvement when making purchasing decisions.
