View-Sort function problem
Capture One 7 seems to be missing an important function previously available in V 6. I am no longer able to create a keyboard shortcut that allows me to sort my images by name, rating, date, etc. Instead, I have to use the pull down menu in View -Sort. I can't imagine why that shortcut ability would have been removed. Worse yet, a bug is causing the Sort function to very often not display the sort options until one restarts Capture One.

Hi John
The bug where the sort options are not displayed that you highlight in your post is one that I have also come across regularly. This issue, amongst many others, is the reason why I have taken the decision to revert back to 6.4.5 which, in spite of a few niggles, is basically very solid.
Not sure if others have raised a support case for this particular bug but, if you have the time, it might be worthwhile; having spent a lot of time recently submitting support cases, I have now run out of steam.

LDJ,
The Sort options in the latest 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 have continued to be fraught with problems that seem to be getting worse for me and I have to wonder how many other users have this problem. The most recent problem involves the Sort by rating option. My copy of 7.1.2 is consistently failing to sort by rating. I used to be able to solve this by restarting Capture 1. Now that solution doesn't even work even with restarting my MacBook Pro. I should add that its still an inconvenience and a significant hinderance to my workflow that the option of creating keyboard shortcuts for sort functions has been removed for no apparent reason.0 -
I've been going through the same Issues since the first version of C1 7. I thought It might had been an issue in my Keyboard Shortcut file and tried recreating my entire set. It seemed to work at random and I was able to set a key for "Sort by Rating". On my next startup it was gone and I haven't been able to get it back. This is extremely frustrating. 0 -
It is very very annoying, every time CO bring out a new version it just gets buggier and buggier.

Just a side-note. Have you guys tried the filter tool ? I don't know You guys workflow, but if this is to isolate i.e. 5 starred pictures, the filter tool would be a better solution offering better flexibility.
In the mean time, we'll take a look at the sorting in the browser.0
