Canon 5D Mark III support?
Any idea when Canon 5D Mark III will be supported in Capture One?
Capture one don´t let med browse the Mark III files at all.

OK...
Thank you everyone for the constructive discussion on DNG workarounds.
Canon 5D Mark III file support will be available as soon as we can provide it, we're working on it.
Thank you all for your patience, this thread is falling back into the negative realm and I think everything's been discussed a few times over so it is now locked.0 -
The update is now available;

You see, all good things are worth a little wait.
Thanks to the code writers for their tireless effort and diligence.0 -
Thanks for the raw file support hopefully tethered support will follow shortly
cheers

It is great to be able to use Capture One again with my new camera, thanks for getting the new version out as quick as you could. 0 -
CaptureOne 6.4 still not support mraw files from 5D Mk III, only full raws. Convert to DNG not fix the problem also. Please, fix this ASAP. 0 -

Derek,
Please reference this post.

Thanks Drew
I've contacted Canon via Canon CPS as I am a member, requesting the SDK for tethering so who knows it might speed things up.
Thanks for all your help

Good Work Sir. 😄0 -
Just about everything I've shot is in mRAW so I'm still waiting. Wish I knew how long? 0 -
Is anyone else seeing their images darker than the embedded jpeg? In photo mechanic it's using the embedded jpeg which is pretty much how I shot the image but when they open in C1 every single image is a full stop dark??? I've just recently upgraded from v4 to v6 but I can't seem to find any preferences that would cause this. Is anyone else experiencing this? 0 -
What colour space have you got your Canon set to?
Derek0 -
I've always used sRGB 0 -
AdobeRGB is a much bigger colour space

I don't see color space as the issue...although other settings affect the thumbnail.
COne ignores almost all incamera settings, as it should. There is no compelling reason for the Cone preview to match the incamera jpeg...although I'm not sure a one stop difference isn't a bit extreme. Your camera LCD can be set at different brightness levels, which is why it's not a good guide to proper exposure....the viewfinder settings do not affect the file.
Histograms of a scene with good highlights and shadows is a clue about correct exposure...but some scenes do not contain all values......
maybe post your images and histograms from them...I'd rather change my camera settings to match COne (as much as possible) than vice versa....and that would be true if I used another RAW converter...0 -
1 stop differences can often occur if the camera is using a fake (often called extended) ISO setting. On canon these are usually the lowest ISO and the highest couple ISO settings where the camera is actually using a different ISO and then using software processing to increase or decrease the exposure by a stop.
In capture one we always access the direct raw info of the files.0 -
I loaded 6.4...still having trouble working with full raw images. The metadata is loading but the images appear normal for a few seconds, then go white. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Thanks Jon. I do have the ISO expansion on. But, I've never had this problem before using v6. I even went back and looked at some images shot with 5d2 and they had the same problem. Even though the same images looked great in v4.
And just to clarify. I can take one shot using Raw + jpeg. The jpeg looks fine but the RAW is .8 dark. So, I think that eliminates a screen brightness issue. One image looks 2 different ways.
I tried to completely eliminate old C1 settings from my computer. I was able to delete things like custom keyboard shortcuts but I think I still see things on output like quality set to 95 and sharpening disabled. Those are my old settings. Those aren't default settings are they?0 -

This comparison is very difficult to justify or quantify as we have no idea what internal adjustments the camera is making to the JPG file. The JPG will invariably be different from the RAW, this will hold true for all cameras that can shoot RAW+JPEG.
The difference in what appears to be exposure may be due to some specific and proprietary information within the RAW file that we need Canon's assistance to read. This is just a possibility and speculation on my part from past experience. If you haven't already I would suggest that you create a support case so we can get more details.0 -
Figured it out!!!!! "Highlight Tone Priority" was the culprit. When highlight tone priority is "on" even if you shoot the correct exposure, c1 will turn the image .8 dark.
Tech support mentioned that it might have been the "Lens aberration correction". But, that only had a minor affect. Speaking of that. I kind of like the idea that Canon has built in correction for problem areas of their lenses. But, evidently Capture One ignores that even if it's set to "on". I know C1 has it's on generic corrections but I wish their was a way for these corrections to still be applied by c1. This seems like a slight advantage of the jpeg.0 -
I'm having the same problem with RAW files; JPEGs display fine, RAW files appear for a second or two as low res previews then white out.
Anyone know whats going on? (OSX 7.3)0 -

Thanks Paul, slightly complicated as a commercial job with child models, but here's an out-take of my assistant testing the trampoline. Hope this link works https://files.me.com/xavpix/hgazvp0 -
I've managed to get the RAW files to display now. Changing the white balance suddenly did the trick.
However to make the RAW files look remotely like the camera JPEGs (pretty good) I'm having to push exposure to +1.7 and saturation to +90.
Even then the conversions don't look too good - noisy and flat .0 -

Xavier2, I opened your raw file and it opened without problems, like two other 5D mkIII files I downloaded from the internet (Imaging Resources and DPreview). Also, after processing into 8-bit TIFFs, embedded camera profile, they look great in PS CS5, as I would expect from my 5D mkII 😉
Might be an issue with your setup? I suggest disabling OpenCL in Preferences, create new session.

Any progress on your behalf? We are looking into a similar problem here with another user. Join? Can you make an adjustment? Or process?0 -
Still can't get this to work properly. And my iMac ( 27",3.4ghz i7, 12gb RAM) crashed horribly while in C1. Tried turning off open CL and restarting but no difference. Downloaded the Camera Raw update and that works fine with almost no adjustment, also none of the JPEG / RAW discrepency in Adobe Bridge.
Very relieved to see a decent conversion, I'd rented the 5D for this job also as a bit of a tester before buying. I think I'll sit back and use Camera Raw until these problems are ironed out.
Interestingly the files look a lot like my ancient 1DS mk1 files and not a patch on my P25+.0 -
Hi all:

Known issue, already mentioned in this thread. May come at a later date as it did in the past with previous models.0 -
I have same problems with Canon 5d Mk 3 and M-raw files in C1. Full size raw looks OK, but M-raw still doesn't open.
I downloaded C1 Pro 6.4 today. When will you fix this?
