How can you drag and drop an Image onto Desktop

How can you drag and drop an Image onto Desktop.

In Aperture the image can be grabbed and dropped onto the desktop.

I tried it in a few different ways, no luck.

Is it possible?

If not what do you suggest.

  Suggestion: File menu > Export > Originals

  Greg, while in Sessions, I was able to drag and drop from the previews panel to the desktop. However, its a move, not a copy.
  I cannot say whether or not it can be done in a Catalog. Cant get the darn thing open.

  From inside a referenced catalog: drag and drop makes a copy of the original, cmd+drag and drop moves the original image file (not the associated xmp, if any)
