Image Browser - hide cropped areas?
if I am viewing my images in the image browser then I always see the hole image and the marking for my cropped area. Which is good when I start editing my images. But when I am reviewing all images it would be great to see the final result / hide the cropped areas.
kind regards
Manuel

Some people here think that is s great idea, but others disagree. (I'm one of those who disagrees.) This is a user-to-user forum. If you'd like to suggest this as a feature to Phase One, you should use the support case method to make a feature request.)

So i do not have missed an option in the settings...
I think that depending on the workflow both settings are useful. Therefore I think an option to turn this on / off, would be nice.
-> will make a feature request.0 -
No you haven't missed anything.

Hi - I wholeheartedly support this idea. I've made a separate comment on this here: viewtopic.php?f=71&t=27768. I am new to Capture One so maybe it's just getting used to it, but I find it really distracting and difficult to work with. I really wish there was an option to see, as a group, the images I intend to work with, and not the raw materials I started with. 0 -
you'll get used to it and find it useful at some point when you get an order and wonder if you can bring a little back in from the sides at a glance etc.
If not, head to prefs, Crop > make Opacity 255 and brightness around 24-250 -

In addition to Bobtographer's observation you might want to consider using the Viewer in multi-image mode and especially if you check out the "sets" functionality.
So long as you are not cropping or rotating or, in some situations, working with the lens correction, you may well find what you want.
HTH.

ich bin der gleiche Meinung! Ian0 -
A solution I use to see the cropped image in the browser: edit/preferences/crop/ Change the opacity. I have mine set to 232 so I can still see how the image is cropped

All you have to do is hit the H key to hide the cropped area in the Viewer. I have to say that its pretty annoying to hear users who authoritatively give incorrect inexperienced advice.

John - that works in the Viewer, but the original question was about being able to see the cropped version in the Browser.

Ha! I stand corrected, thanks. I've never felt the need to see fully cropped images in the browser so I guess that thread threw me a bit. Sorry! Every time I pay to upgrade C1 it tends to hurt more than it helps since their tweaks just chance some things unnecessarily.

No, I agree with you - I don't want to see them cropped in the browser either.

But at least we should have the option, no?
BTW this thread is four years old ... how does one get an idea like this taken up by C1?

You could post a suggestion in the Feature Requests section of the forum. No guarantee that they will do what you suggest, and other users may or may not like your idea.

OK, thanks.
