Quick Preview
Hi There,
I am running -
C1 9.1.2. - Mac 10.11.15
Is there a " quick " way to preview what an original file looked like " before " I made adjustments / corrections / etc.
Without having to make a clone of each file ?
Thanks in advance.
David

That's an easy question to answer: “No.â€

I'm new to C1P. Is there a reason this seemingly simple and useful functionality isn't available? Does Phase One suggest a workflow in which this action is un-necessary or counter-indicated?0 -

Phase One's suggested method is indeed to create a New Variant of the image and then either use the browser to switch back and forward between them; or select both the original and the variant to see them in the viewer at the same time.
Several users have raised this issue in the past. I submitted a support case for this as a feature request back in February. If others were to also submit requests it could gain a higher priority.
Edit: there are some other suggestions in this thread:

Hi Richard — thanks for the concise answer. The linked thread covers the ground well, imho. I agree with the many posters who, like you and me, would like Phase One to provide this functionality (I think user EnderWiggins puts it best).
For those who don't want to click through, the suggested work-around is "{command}+r" to reset all adjustments, and then "{command}+z" to undo resetting all adjustments. I heartily join those who find this work-around unsatisfactory bordering on dangerous.
I would like to add my voice to those asking Phase One for the enhancement. Does one vote for these things? Join an existing support case? File one's own?0 -

Firstly, as this is a user-to-user forum, there is no guarantee that anyone from Phase One will actually read this thread. Even if they did, it would be unlikely that they would take any action based on comments here.
As far as I know, it is not possible for one user to access another user's support cases, thus it is not possible to add comments or upvote a request in situ.
I believe the only option is to raise your own support case. If you wish, you can reference my support case in yours, by quoting the Case ID, which is 211508.
