Capture One disappears after restarting compute
Hey guys,
I am a C1 10 subscriber and everytime I shut down my computer and restart, where the C1 application logo would be it ends up being a ? mark. Then when I goto my applications folder to start it up again, it asks me to activate everytime. Now it does keep my workspace that I saved but I have to activate and resolidify the application to my status bar every time I restart or shutdown. any help?

Did you install it properly, i.e. open the .dmg then drag the app to your /Applications folder? 0 -
Yea i did install it properly. It's in the applications folder. I don't have to reinstall it everytime, just have to put it back on my desktop bar again and reactivate it. 0 -
Now every time I just close it, it goes to a ? mark to turn it back on. This is really irritating as I've reinstalled it 3 times now. 0 -
Can you describe exactly how you install it, step by step? 0 -
I downloaded the file. I opened it. It installed and then it said move C icon to folder like how you would usually do it with a mac and I did so. Not sure what other way their is to install it. 0 -
Go to the application folder and drag the application to the dock. Just delete the "question mark" 0 -
Well that's what I do everytime, and when i close it out. the ? appears, and everytime I put it back on the dock, I have to put the activation key in.. 0 -
did you drag the .dmg file to the application folder or the application within the dmg? 0 -
If you have to activate the software every time you start Capture One, it points to a few possibilities:
1. You did not install Capture One 10, but rather opened it directly from the .dmg download. Please install Capture One by dragging the Capture One icon from the .dmg to the applications folder. Then open from the Applications folder. You will need to activate one time after installing.
** On install, naming the application something different than Capture One, eg. Capture One 10.1.2, can help.
2. The other possibility is that Capture One does not have full control in Mac OS Gate keeper. Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy and Accessibility and make sure Capture One 10 is on the list to control the computer.
If the above does not help, please create a support case at support.phaseone.com and we will happy to take a deeper look at what's going on.0
