Textured toolbar?
A small gripe on what seems like an otherwise solid upgrade, but is there any way to change the appearance of the toolbar back to the "flat" look of CO6 instead of the leatherette and drop shadow?
To me at least this is almost as horrible and pointless as the "skeuomorphic" Address Book and iCal in the current Mac OS.

Good call Laurent
So to describe it in an understandable way :
If you want to get rid of the leather texture toolbar background you can do the following :
Go to macintosh HD / Applications /
Right (control) click Capture One ---> Show Package Contents
Contents / Resources
In here you find a file called LeatherTexture.tif
You can simply open it in photoshop and change it into the way you want... even Put a leopard pattern over it if you like.
And save it back to the same direction (of course you have to keep the original file name).
To get back the old classic look you can also download the file i changed (only online for 2 weeks !!
Just download it and copy / paste it in the said directory.

I can see a lot people now customizing all kind of C1 Pro buttons and so on 😊0 -
je rend à César ce qui est à César !
the idea comes me from CaptureOne Complete : http://www.captureonecomplete.com/uk/
who customised buttons since a while !0 -
No bueno. Make it an optional appearance setting in preferences or get rid of it. 0 -
Yeah, please remove the texture from the toolbar.
Give the option on the pref menu for the few ones that liked... 😊0 -
Flat is better. Much better.
Don't like the leathery look.0 -
Flat please and tone down that drop shadow! It's like a 90's website. 0 -
The Customize Toolbar command was the first thing I checked with v7.
Make the texture optional (those drop shadows, too).
But keep on innovating.0 -
I agree, no texture please. It's distracting. 0 -
Please please please remove the textured toolbar. It's still present in version 7.0.1. Removing it manually + changing the Canon SDK files every time I update COP is really disturbing... 0 -
Also dislike the textured toolbar and the weird drop shadows.. V6 was a much cleaner interface 0 -
loose the textured effect .. 0 -
another vote to scrap the texture.
fully customisable colour schemes for the whole interface would be ideal.0 -
As discussed here earlier, a specific file - LeatherTexture.tiff - is responsible for the toolbar's textured background. You might like to tweak it, which is quite easy to do by yourself. But to help you get started, I created a few different versions, which you can download from the link below.
Unpack the ZIP, remove the numbers from your selected file and copy it to the appropriate folder:Applications > Capture One.app > Content > Resources
Note: use Show Package Contents from the app's action menu in Finder to get to the Contents folder.
The copy action will replace the original file. It is wise to backup the original file first.

Some notes on the files in the ZIP and how to make your own.
First, I took the original LeatherTexture.tiff and opened it in Photoshop (do not apply a profile). Next, I setup the foreground and background color, for example 105 and 55 (for all three R, G and B channels). These are the two values in the file name. Next, I created a gradient from top to bottom with the gradient tool, while holding the shift key. Last, I saved the file and added the numbers to it to show their settings.
Enjoy!
PS: do not forget to reinstall the background after a CO7 update.0
