Custom ICC Profiles
I am having problems using custom ICC profiles. I have custom ICC profiles created from inside CO using the color editor for different cameras. The profiles are correctly saved in the color sync folder and shown in the dropdown menu together with the profiles provided by CO for my cameras (Generic, Generic V2). The first problem is that if I try to choose one of my profile as camera default and accept to apply it to all the selected variants I immediately get an error message which says that the profile cannot be loaded. I can apply manually the profile to the variants I want but then after a restart most of the time the profile is lost, i.e. is not applied to the variants, which are shown without any designated profile. Any idea about what's happening?

First point, what is the profile version, C1 does not recognize the version 4 so if you create profiles save in version 2.
Second item in the catalog, if the profile is not internally with the extension. Icm, at the next opening on the default profile will see none, this problem has not been found with the sessions.0 -
The profile, as I have written in the OP, have been created using the Color Editor of Capture One and they are properly saved (with the icm extension). in the color sync folder. They are recognized and in fact they are shown close to the original Capture One profiles for the camera they have been built for. The problem is that I cannot use them in the way they are supposed to be used (setting is not retained, cannot be applied to mutiple variants). 0 -
It seems to me that it is a catalog issue only. Working with the same files and with the same icm profiles in a session mode the problem disappears: probably there is some error occurring when loading the icm profile from the color sync folder.
If this is the case I am not in a position to continue to using the Capture One catalogs (which I would like to) until the problem is resolved.0 -

Hello Ario,
There is indeed a problem loading the custom .icc profile from the colorsync folder, but it's easily worked around: if you paste the custom .icc profile into the CO1 app (to the folder where the input profiles are stored), and remove it from the colorsync folder, you can then select it as the default profile for the camera, and also use it in catalogues. Do keep a back-up of the profile however, because installing updates will overwrite the profiles folder in the CO1 app.

Thank you Chris,
it is a good idea and I would like to try it but unfortunately I am not able to identify the folder in which the input profiles are stored inside the application package. Is it a hidden one?0 -

Here's the path to the folder:
CO1.app > contents > Frameworks > AppCore.framework > Resources > Profiles > Input
If you are not getting there, it might be that one of these is hidden, I have hidden folders en files shown. It's an easy terminal command to show them, so should not take a minute.

Thank you for the hint, I found the folder.
Yesterday with the assistance of Phase One Support we have found an other workaround which so far seems to work, i.e. putting copies of the icm profiles on all the Color Sync Folders (user and system).0
