I have a problem setting the output location which I do not remember I had before.
The Root Folder selected in the Process Recipe Tab is "Output Folder"
I want to set up different folder locations for different process recipes using the Output Location tab but the selected location is not saved and every recipe is using the last used location.
I am using CO 7.1.4 and OSX 10.8.5

What you describe is how it is designed. However, this is a common issue, kind of (mis)understanding.

First, setting the Root Folder in the Process Recipe to the Output Folder means that you define the folder with the Output Location tool. That is correct and how you describe it. For sessions this defaults to the Output session folder but can be changed. There is NO LOCATION saved in the recipe because it is handed over to the Output Location tool.

When you select a specific folder for Root Folder in the recipe, it is stored in the recipe and it takes control, bypassing the Output Location tool. This allows you to have a recipe save images in an explicit folder independent from session or catalog.

What you would like to take a look at is the Sub Folder field in the process recipe. This allows you to make and use a sub folder for a specific recipe. This can be a sub folder in a common Output Folder, for example for JPEGs, TIFFs and QuickProofs.

Yes Paul, now I have the output folders of all my recipes defined in the Process Recipe; and if want to check where my output files are going to be placed I have to look to the Process Recipe only, ignoring what is shown in the output location tool. It is not very intuitive but once you know it works.
I basically work with catalogs only.
