Import from session to catalog

I have not found any guideline or istruction on how to import pics and adjustment from session to catalog.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

  You can import from session to catalog by importing a folder or folders with images of your session into the catalog with the regular import tool. The checkbox Include Existing Adjustments might be relevant.
  
  There is no import for other session attributes like (Smart) Albums.

  Thank you Paul,
  I had tried before and it did not work for me with the referenced catalog (hanging for ever during preview creation).
  I have tried again and now apparently everything is in order either leving the originals inside the session or copying them inside the catalog.
  may be I did a mistake or something went wrong, I will continue checking.
