cannot use focus during tethered shooting

I have been trying to get the camera to focus during tethered shooting. I was able to use the red square to select focus during tethered shooting before, now I get a message that I am assuming is the reason saying no lens data. I am using a Nikon D850, all Nikon lenses, my camera, and capture one software are up to date and I am using Capture one 20 for Nikon. I have written in and received no response. I hope someone can help because it is really affecting my workflow and defeating a major point of owning the software.

  Lens set to Auto focus?  Perhaps try another cable or USB port on your Mac.

  When you say "written in" do you mean you have used the "Submit a request" option to create a Support Case?
