Capture One Support
I messaged Capture One with a significant issue that was impeding me from using the software (and delivering client work on a deadline). After waiting several days I got this response
"Unfortunately, we cannot comment when this bug will be fixed, but rest assured that it has been reported and will be looked into."
To re-iterate. The issue is that the latest version of Capture One is completely unusable.
That sounded familiar, so I searched my gmail for the phrase.
In the small handful of times I've ever reached out to Capture One this is ALWAYS the response.
To be fair, my earlier requests were more along the lines of small bugs. However, in this case it's a critical bug preventing me from using the software.
Just wanted to comment here in case anyone else is in the forums considering purchasing the software and wants to know what kind of customer support to expect.

I find it is actually a good idea to let the user decide which resolution the thumbnails should have, similar to the preview.
I understand C1 does not run very smoothly on 4k+ so they do not encourage us to do so, but did they actually argue why they think it is not needed? As time goes by more users might use 4k+ screens, maybe more users now would support a feature request if you submit one here in the forum.
From my observation they care more about new users, especially coming from LR (migration, workspace layout, abandon of the universal layer concept in favour of an icon-centric user interface), which is understandable as they want / need to increase their market share, but why do you think they care more about amateur needs? I think they care more about (a) their Phase One customers and (b) the needs of the broadest user base, which may eventually be the amateurs. I don't know.

"From my observation they care more about new users, especially coming from LR..."
this is for sure the case, just look at all the special discounts they have over the year, think they even beat topaz labs ;-) this ongoing sale is a clear sign that this software is also not as attractive as they want us to believe and so I´m even more surprised they don't care about their longtime user many of them pros too.
they also have not updated their web gallery tool since years probably this is not was most of their new amateur user need and as I said their comment was the developers see no need for improvement.
